Oh yes, those are Strawberry Shortcake mugs from 1980. I had a Strawberry Shortcake cake for my first birthday just two years after these were made. Very exciting. I've been wanting to get some vintage Pyrex mugs for a while, but I never thought I'd find ones like these. Unfortunately there are only 3 not 4. I guess I'll just have to keep my eyes open for one more.
This week has been a week off of sorts for me. We only have one program running and that was Tuesday morning. The rest of the week is child free while we get ready of the Fall programs to begin. This will be my first time as a lead teacher in a few of the programs and I'll be working in a couple new programs so I'm a little nervous. Excited, but nervous. It's a lot like that feeling I used to get the first week of school where your professors tell you about all of the assignments you'll be doing over the semester. I'm overwhelmed, to say the least. The good thing though is that I know I'll be alright once I get into the swing of things.
Another good thing is that this child free week has given me a bit of extra knitting time. I've finished a pair of sock (which I didn't take a picture of) that I will be giving to my Mom for her birthday next month. Now I'm just trying to resist casting on a new project before my Knit Picks order to comes and instead work on some of my other UFO's. Once the order comes it will be crunch time trying to knit up some special socks for my Grandma's 75th birthday. She's a Red Hat Lady so I ordered some sock yarn in Knit Picks Red Hat colourway. The Party's the 23rd of September, do you think I'll make it?
