The camera will not transfer pictures to my computer today, so we're going to have a pictureless post.
So, anyway, I went to water my plants Wednesday after work and as I'm watering the fennel one of the stems jumps off the plant. Obviously it wasn't a stem at all it was some sort of stick bug, praying mantis big ugly bug. I am baffled as to what this thing was doing on my 7th floor balcony but seeing as I am not one for creepy crawly flying things I decided to let it be and went back inside. I did however come back out briefly to take a picture which of course is now trapped inside the camera.
The other picture I had to show you was the fuzzy lump that is my almost finished Paisley Lace Shawl (IK Spring 2005). I'm halfway through the border then I'll need to find a good bind off. The pattern calls for a picot bind off which is a little more exaggerated than I would like so I'm looking around for something a little different. Any ideas?
Another question. I've got 100g (325m) of gorgeous Fleece Artist sock yarn and I'd like to knit the Petticoat socks from Weekend Knitting but it calls for three 100g (205m) skeins of Louet Sales Gems Merino Sport. Is it just me or does this sound like way to much yarn for a pair of women's socks? Has anyone knit this pattern, how much yarn did you use?
I think it is going to be a weekend of movies and knitting since I'm trying to finish up some old projects so I can start new ones guilt free. And I may have to go see Snakes on a Plane at the cheap theater up the street because, well it's called Snakes on a Plane! Anyway, have a great weekend, happy knitting.
